Stephanie Hoffman - MS, PT

Graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training and Exercise Physiology from San Diego State University, and her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Miami. She has extensive experience in the field of Sports Medicine and Orthopedics, including Group Director for Physiotherapy Associates, Aztecs Sports Medicine, and is currently owner of La Jolla Shores Physical Therapy.

Stephanie has been a physical therapist for 34 years working on a variety of orthopedic and sports medicine related patients. Her professional sports teams affiliations have been with the San Diego Gulls, San Diego Sockers, San Diego Spirit and the Olympic Volleyball Team.  She has also worked with numerous athletic trainers at the high school level and taught a variety of continued education courses around the country. Her patients range from elite triathletes, surfers, lifeguards and paddlers, pickle ball and tennis enthusiasts, olympic athletes, high school and collegiate athletes as well as hiking and walking enthusiasts. She is a volunteer for San Diego Hospice and Make-A-Wish organization and a member of La Jolla Shores Surfing Association. Stephanie also founded Project Edeline, a school in Haiti built after the 2010 earthquake.

New to the filmmaker platform, Stephanie has produced the film; SALTWATERx with her son, Brett Hoffman. They are both passionate about the ocean and its ability to be a healing modality. The documentary explores the role of the oceans’ ability to heal through the lens of four people who have been through extreme loss and trauma and live with disease and disability. Three medical doctors weave in their professional expertise and farther explain the physiological and psychological benefits of using the ocean as their prescription to heal. Kristina velez, CMT - Massage therapist

Kristina was exposed to yoga philosophy, mindful practices, massage and energy work as a child. She has been practicing professionally for over 20 years doing body work, energy work, teaching mindful movement and meditation, and somatic coaching. She believes that our body has innate intelligence and wisdom, that when listened to, will guide us on our healing journey.

Currently Kristina works with patients and clients at La Jolla Shores Physical Therapy for massage and energy work as well as Biofield Tuning, a sound therapy method which fosters a strong connection between our conscious and subconscious mind. She also teaches Mindful Movement classes, which is a gentle movement and meditation class that is a deeply relaxing exploratory practice that helps to relieve tension and chronic holding patterns in the body so you can move better.

Danieli cunningham - Holistic Health Practitioner

Danieli is a dedicated holistic health professional with over 20 years of experience in massage therapy. Certified as a Holistic Health Practitioner in 2004, she has mastered various therapeutic techniques, including deep tissue, trauma release, prenatal, Swedish and Esalen massage.

Her training includes a Massage Mastery certification with Dr. Barry Green, refining her skills in advanced bodywork. Danieli offers a transformative healing experience, blending expertise, professionalism, and a touch a magic to support your well-being.

Shayna Zweben - Pilates Instructor

Shayna is classically trained and certified from Pilates Institute of Boulder. She also has ancillary training in BASI, Stott, and as a clinical Pilates Instructor in physical therapy clinics. She began the Pilates Method in 1986, as a professional modern dancer and has been teaching Pilates for over 25 years. Her clients have included Ironman athletes, climbers, cyclists, runners, dancers, and surfers. She also works with elderly clients, pre and post natal women, and those recovering from injury.

“Pilates is about so much more than strengthening the core and pelvic floor. You will improve balance, flexibility, coordination, strength, and overall fitness, while correcting postural alignment issues, rehabilitation injuries, and invigorating your mind and spirit.” Shayna states. At La Jolla Shores Physical Therapy, she trains clients and patients individually as well as teaches the Pilates Mat class twice a week.

Maddie Marchand - Personal trainer

Maddie graduated with a degree in Kinesiology from Bridgewater State University. She plans to continue her education in the field of sports medicine. Maddie has been training clients and teaching fitness classes for 7 years. Having played soccer for 12 years and college level field hockey, she learned how to stay conditioned, work through injuries, and take care of her body using movement as medicine.

“Learning to move our bodies safely and in new ways has lead me to fall in love with sports like surfing and skating.” Maddie values integrity, community, and helping people build more intuition with the body. At La Jolla Shores Physical Therapy, Maddie is both a personal trainer and Spine Stabilization class instructor. She has worked closely with Steph Hoffman applying the mechanics of how to keep you back and neck healthy with all activities.
